Day 24 of Le Fae welcomes the magical mind of Haven Lund!
I am a full time Ranger, part time Maker currently stained in California. Inspired by everything whimsy and witchy, I taught myself the art of stained glass through a lot of trial and error (and bandaids!). I love exploring new mediums, and including crystals and prisms into my stained glass works. The majority of my pieces are celestial and nature inspired as those things are so near to my heart.
This fairy moon stained glass hanging features beautiful iridescent glass wings and a hanging crystal star prism. It hangs from a 7″ stainless steel chain. Remember to purchase a quality hanger for your stained glass piece! It measures 8″ x 7″ and weighs approximately 6.5 oz.
My name is Haven, and I am a part time maker and a full time Ranger. I work for a land preservation agency, and my ‘office’ is a F350 and wherever my hiking boots can take me. Rangers like to say we protect the land from the people, the people from the land, and the people from the people.
What kind of art do you create and what medium do you work in?
Glass is the most recent mediums that I explored, and it was captivating right from the start. Every bit of the process is magical: dreaming up a pattern, choosing a piece of glass, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering and polishing. The whole panes of glass themselves are usually my biggest inspiration. I can dream up what I can make whenever I find a magical color and pattern of glass. Creating a magical fairy piece for the show came naturally with the iridescent glass I had, and I love to honor the moon in celestial inspired suncatchers.
When did you know you were an artist?
I have been creating in some form or another for as long as I can remember. I am an avid baker (cupcakes are my specialty), greeting card maker, and violinist. I dabble with my sewing machine and macrame art, and am an amateur woodworker. Two summers ago I restored a vintage Shasta Starflyte camper trailer from the 1970’s. I have a bachelor’s in English, but I think if I could do it all over I would have pursued an art degree. I recently made a few custom glass pieces for one of my elementary school art teachers, and it felt so special creating pieces for someone that totally influenced my aspiring artistic self.
Le Fae is about all things magical fairy! Tell us about why you applied to the show and what inspired the work you made for the curated collection?
I am so inspired by the natural world, and love creating both realistic and whimsical pieces. Part of my job every day is to get people excited about being outdoors, and equally important to me is bringing the outdoors inside. I have an ever growing houseplant collection and creating glass accents for their pots and nature inspired designs is a large part of what I create.
Where did you hear about Bubble Pop Gallery and what made you want to be in the show?
I heard about Bubble Pop from the Isle of Magic Marketplace on Instagram and was very excited to apply. I feel like virtual experiences have become even more special during these difficult Covid times, and was really looking forward to the sense of community that participating could provide. It has been really wonderful connecting with other artists and especially other bad ass ladies!
Have you ever done a gallery show before? If yes, how many?
I have never taken part in a gallery before.
What is your favorite thing about being a creative?
Glass art has been an absolute gift to me over the past year. It helped me cope with a huge loss and gave me hope that I can still find beauty in the world.
Where are you located?
I moved to California about three years ago, and by far my favorite thing about living here is the diverse wildlife and landscapes in this state. Specifically, it is almost wildflower season again! And I have been collecting glass and coming up with ideas on how to create some of my favorite flowers in glass all winter long.
Thank you so much and I hope my Fairy Moon has brought a little bit of magic to your day!

I was born Gilbert Garcia, but everyone calls me Guilli! People who get tattooed by me know me as Guilli Munster, your favorite pint-sized tattooer!
What kind of art do you create and what medium do you work in?
I tattoo by trade and have been for the last 13 years, so I consider skin as a medium. I also love to watercolor and create digital art! More specifically, mashups of popular animation characters!
When did you know you were an artist?
I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t, so I don’t know a time where I didn’t think I was. My family tells me that I had a natural ability to draw when I was two. According to them, Mickey Mouse was the first thing I ever learned to draw which is why have him tattooed on the back of my neck!
Le Fae is about all things magical fairy! Tell us about why you applied to the show and what inspired the work you made for the curated collection?
First off, I’ve done a few shows with Bubble Pop and I’m a big fan of Bubble Pop Gallery. The shows themes are always excellent creative exercising and they give me an opportunity to be my true self, so thank you, Sey! When I got the notice of this shows theme of fairies, as with all the shows themes, I immediately think, MASHUP! So, I quickly picked a few fairies and put them in the collider that lives in my head. I don’t normally like to tell people what I’ve mashed up because I feel like it’s more fun for people to guess which two characters each one is. And for me it’s a great way to for me to improve on it because it lets me know that if they guess right, I’m doing it right. I have a lot of tattoo flash that I’ve made of mashup tattoo designs and as soon as people notice them, it becomes a fun game of who can guess which two characters they are. I hope for a similar effect with my work for this show! The particular scene I painted is meant to be a late night visit from these mashed up alternate universe fairies.I based them off of 6 personal favorites that I consider to be classic fairies!
Where did you hear about Bubble Pop Gallery and what made you want to be in the show?
I believe it was a few years ago, randomly on Instagram. I ran into a poster for a Ghostbusters themed show and was like, “this exists in Bakersfield?” I’ve done a handful of local art shows in mt lifetime, but that was the first time a gallery spoke my language! Then, I contacted Sey immediately! I’ve tried to do all the shows since then!
Have you ever done a gallery show before? If yes, how many?
I’m not sure how many I’ve done. There’s been a lot. More than half of them were tattoo related shows, as some tattoo shops have galleries in them.
What is your favorite thing about being a creative?
Peoples responses to it.It’s either wonderfully magical when they enjoy it or total disdain when they don’t understand it.Of course, I want to effect people positively. That’s always the goal; to bring people joy with what I do. Both responses are valid to me though because it’s when there is no response that I’ve failed at being an artist. I think Garth Brooks said that somewhere and I totally agree with him even though I don’t listen to country. Another thing that’s good about being creative, is that creative people attract each other and when you’ve got some humble, creative people in a room together, real magic is made. It’s the best!
What inspires you?
Life. I don’t watch reality television because we have true reality all around us to pull from. I walk, ride a bike, take a Lyft, take a Bird and I’m observing everything around me. Everyone carries inspiration within them, whether they realize it or not.
How does art make the world a better place?
I think it’s subjective. As an enthusiast, I use it to escape, a catalyst or as a means to connect and make sense of the world.I’ve always felt that without the existence of the arts, the human race would cease to exist in a meaningful way.
Where are you located?
I am in Bakersfield, CA. Born and raised in a place that I once heard called a truck stop on the way to Los Angeles.
What projects are you working on that you can tell us about?
II’m currently in the middle of making a Get What You Get Tattoo Dice Game. It’s a gambling game that many tattoo shops around the world play, where a willing player pays $100 (usually), then rolls a number on a 100 sided die. What ever number the die lands on, you flip through a small book that houses 100 random designs. You find the page with the number you rolled and that’s what you get tattooed! My version will be 100 designs of popular, female, animated characters.I’m hoping to have it done in a month!
Where can people find you?
On either of my two Instagram profiles! I have @pint_sized_tattooer for the tattooing, which includes examples of my work, tattoo designs and information on booking appointments. My other profile, which is @pint_sized_cartooner is my art profile which includes my mashup art, my animation school assignments (I’m currently attending Animation Mentor online) and anything else I create that isn’t tattoo related. Follow me, especially if you’re a fan of pop culture!
Anything else you would like to share?

Emily Rachel Whittingham is a ‘whimsically gothic’ artist hailing from the UK. She creates and reimagines characters and creatures with paint and illustration. An Animation graduate from UCA Farnham and a nostalgic at heart, Emily draws inspiration for her work from the things she loves: vintage American animation, classic horror films and books, fairy tales, modern vintage culture, tattoo art and sweet edible goodies. Her artistic influences include Tim Burton, Roald Dahl, Jasmine Beckett-Griffith, pop surrealism, traditional tattoo art and old-school Disney (including the classic rides at the Disney parks!) Emily frequently participates in the Macabre Monthly Online Markets on Facebook; and is most likely to be found somewhere in England either creating art, drinking tea, or fawning over cute reptiles.
Artwork Title: “Frankenstein’s Fairy and Dragon” Size: 12 x 12 in Medium: Acrylic on canvas Price: £200 / $270
Hi everyone! I’m Emily, better known as E.R. Whittingham!
What kind of art do you create and what medium do you work in?
I create ‘whimsically gothic’ character-based art. If it’s spooky, I’m there. I mainly use acrylic paints but also use Copic markers.
When did you know you were an artist?
When I was about nine years old. It was then I realised I could actually draw (for a nine-year-old anyway) and that, more importantly, drawing is one of the greatest things ever.
Le Fae is about all things magical fairy! Tell us about why you applied to the show and what inspired the work you made for the curated collection?
I applied because…well, I love fairies! Ever since I was a kid, fairies have always been a part of my life and continue to be. (I have to admit, I still want to be one! Who doesn’t want lovely wings?) For the piece I created especially for this show, I simply combined two of my favourite things: fairies and classic horror. I drew a Frankenstein fairy about a few years ago, and I loved the idea so much that I planned to revisit her as a painting, and to give her a dragon companion. So what better time than for the Le Fae Art Show!
Where did you hear about Bubble Pop Gallery and what made you want to be in the show?
I remember seeing Bubble Pop Gallery advertised somewhere on social media back in 2018. As I was new to the art game and wanted to get my work out there, I put myself down for their upcoming art shows and have been lucky to be in two of them! I wanted to be part of this lovely show in particular because Bubble Pop are an awesome bunch and always put on a great show… and also, fairies.
Have you ever done a gallery show before? If yes, how many?
I have yes. 15 to be precise, including Le Fae and two upcoming virtual art shows. I’d love to be able to go to one of them in person one day. I also usually exhibit my work at events such as Whitby Goth Weekend and Glastonbury Faery Fayre. I can’t wait to return to those.
What is your favorite thing about being a creative?
Oh wow, this is a tough question! There are so many things I love about being a creative. Coming up with new ideas, being able to materialize your imagination into reality, drawing the things I love, making others smile with your work… this is probably the hardest question I’ve had to answer in a while!
What inspires you?
My work is mainly inspired by old Disney and American animation, classic horror, fairy tales, Tim Burton, traditional and neo-traditional tattoo art, the Disney parks and my hero Jasmine Beckett Griffith.
How does art make the world a better place?
To be honest, without art, the world would be so much emptier than people would realise. No books, no music, no theatre, no films, bland websites, bland buildings…I could go on. But for me personally, art is a much-needed escapism. Be it a painting, film, play, puppet show or music, it transports you to another world. And more than ever, we do need that from time to time.
Where are you located?
Hampshire, England
What projects are you working on that you can tell us about?
I’m currently working through a few commissions and a piece for an upcoming art show but afterwards, there are a few projects I’d like to get round to creating. I haven’t painted one of my baroque vampires for a while and I need to remedy that.
Where can people find you?
People can find me on Instagram, Facebook and my own website. They can also find me in my bat cave drinking tea.
Anything else you would like to share?
I do believe in fairies!

MEET THE ARTIST
Start off and tell us your name! Who are you?
Hi! I’m Annie Hobbs, better known as @Anniemcbeth on social media. At the moment I’m a freelance illustrator working from home with my adorable studio pup, Lotus.
What kind of art do you create and what medium do you work in?
I love the look and feel of Children’s illustration! I’ve always been drawn (pun intended) to kids books and the images within that can tell a story with minimal words. I sort of bounce between an animation style and a kidlit style.. it sort of depends on what the piece is. I typically work both traditionally and digitally these days. I had originally been trained in traditional mediums like gouache and watercolor and had been utilizing those mediums for years. About 2018, I picked up an ipad pro with the intent to use it as a digital sketchbook…. well…. I never looked back! I have used it to create numerous concept sketches as well as final artwork for freelance jobs.
When did you know you were an artist?
I’ve always been creative. My whole family is, in fact. I actually don’t think there was ever a moment where I thought to myself and said ” Yep… that’s it. I’m an Artist” In school growing up, I think I drew more flowers on my math homework than I did numbers. My parents were incredible and really tried to help me develop my skills as an artist from an early age. They would encourage me with new art supplies for Christmas, take me to art exhibits, and even signed me up for art lessons when I was old enough.
Le Fae is about all things magical fairy! Tell us about why you applied to the show and what inspired the work you made for the curated collection?
My fascination with magical and mystical worlds is crazy. I love me a good fairytale!! I haven’t had an opportunity to really dive into a piece that portrays fairies (outside Tinkerbell of course lol ) and popped in my application thinking, this would be fun! I’ve been trying to work on more character designs lately, so I made an effort to really dig into that style for this show. I wanted to create my own Fae character from scratch and see what happened.
Where did you hear about Bubble Pop Gallery and what made you want to be in the show?
Well, I’ve been following along with Bubble Pop’s adventures since day one! I’ve been a part of a couple other shows and really wanted to join in the fun once more.
Have you ever done a gallery show before? If yes, how many?
I’ve done a few gallery shows outside of school with a couple different galleries and I have been extremely lucky to have my work shown regularly inside the Disneyana Gallery on Main Street USA, Disneyland for the last few years.
What is your favorite thing about being a creative?
My favorite thing about being creative is being able to tell stories with pictures. It’s how I think, actually! I see something and it can spark an entire story line in seconds! The hardest part is getting that down on the paper instead of rolling around inside my brain. My favorite thing would have to be making something out of nothing. Creating something that was just an idea in your head and putting it on paper or any medium is a great feeling.
What inspires you?
SO many things typically inspire me. In reality, inspiration is everywhere! Sometimes when we’re walking outside something will spark. Sometimes it’s scrolling through instagram and seeing a new piece from a friend. Sometimes it’s as simple as seeing a new color that is gorgeous and now you want to do a new piece with a limited color palette! I find that if I surround myself with creative things, (people, books, artwork, etc) my creativity bank stays full.
How does art make the world a better place?
Art takes us outside of our normal world. It brings us new colors. New places. New ideas. It makes us think a little bit more outside of our box. It also helps us express ourselves. Sometimes words just can’t compare to a beautiful piece of art.
Where are you located?
I hail from the land of the sun! Southern California has been really the only place I’ve felt “home.”
What projects are you working on that you can tell us about?
I’ve been spending quite a bit of time over the last year completely revamping my portfolio for the Children’s Market. It has always been a dream to illustrate kids books and I feel like I have made HUGE strides. I have a few manuscripts that I’m currently working on refining, but because of the potential of shopping it to publishers I’m not able to share a whole lot. However…. I’m also working on another big kid lit based, personal project that is 100% sharable! I’m hoping to get some concepts down in the next couple weeks and begin the process. I’d love for you all to follow along!
Where can people find you?
I’m all over social media! I have a website you can visit: www.anniemcbethillustration.com and I’m mostly active on my instagram: @anniemcbeth
Anything else you would like to share?
I get asked a lot about my name on social media – “AnnieMcbeth” McBeth is not my last name, but “Beth” IS my middle name. So here’s the story…. when I was little my most favorite place to go was McDonalds. It was probably a combination of not getting to eat there often, the lure of the giant kids playground, maybe a little bit of the times my grandpa would walk us down there when we stayed over, the happy meal toys, who knows… but for whatever reason, McDonalds was like the ULTIMATE! (which is so funny now because I don’t ever eat there anymore) Anyway, my dad started calling me “McBeth” and it just sorta stuck. He still calls me that. It seemed appropriate, and unique, for a bit of a brand name when I really started pushing my work.

MEET THE ARTIST
Start off and tell us your name! Who are you?
My Name is Jessica and I am the artist behind JellyJessBeans on Instagram!
What kind of art do you create and what medium do you work in?
My art is mostly digital and is made on my iPad. I would describe my art as being cute cartoons. I draw whatever interests me and what I currently like.
When did you know you were an artist?
That’s a tough question! I’ve always had a pencil in hand ever since I was really young. I would have sketch books stacked in my closet. I guess it wasn’t until I was in College and one of my professors had recommended me for my first art show I was both surprised that people liked what I made and it made me feel like I was an artist!
Le Fae is about all things magical fairy! Tell us about why you applied to the show and what inspired the work you made for the curated collection?
To be honest when I saw the Le Fae post I thought it would be fun! I had someone message me saying “Hey you should do this!” I thought…hmm maybe I should. I’m glad I did! When I heard the theme was Fae, I instantly thought of different types of Fae and that’s when I thought of my Deer/Fawn Fae. I first started out with Winter and that snowballed (no pun intended) into making the different seasons.
Where did you hear about Bubble Pop Gallery and what made you want to be in the show?
I heard about the show from the Isle of Magic instagram page! The theme hooked me into wanting to be in the show since I love Fae and folklore like this.
Have you ever done a gallery show before? If yes, how many?
I heard about the show from the Isle of Magic instagram page! The theme hooked me into wanting to be in the show since I love Fae and folklore like this.
What is your favorite thing about being a creative?
My favorite thing would have to be making something out of nothing. Creating something that was just an idea in your head and putting it on paper or any medium is a great feeling.
What inspires you?
I’ve always enjoyed making art. There are many things that inspire me to keep creating, such as the artists around me, taking a moment to go to the beach, or hiking. I don’t think one thing inspires me, it’s lots of things.
How does art make the world a better place?
believe art makes the world a better place because it inspires people. I’ve seen art help many people by expressing themselves and their emotions through art and I think that’s a great thing to have around us.
Where are you located?
I am located in Washington state!
What projects are you working on that you can tell us about?
I currently have a Kickstarter for pins of Zodiac Mermaids and I’m working on a new pin collection that involves Gems/Birthstones. I don’t want to say too much about it for now, but I’m really excited about this project!
